black & white
i was graced with this picture from a friend of mine. it reminds me of how i love to take pictures & how i find myself constantly making excuses as to why i don't. my camera isn't cool enough. it doesn't have a zoom lense. it doesn't have enough megapixels. it's not a nikon. i don't go anywhere cool to take pictures.
i sometimes realize how sick i am of hearing my own excuses. sometimes i think my excuses are a part of me that i would be so afraid to let die. then i would be accountable for what i desire to do, but don't. i don't take pictures cuz i'm lazy and i'm sure that they will be lousy.

That really is a beautiful picture. You are welcome to use my camera any time you want to go take some pictures. it's not high tech but I've gotten some pretty stuff from it. Sometimes simpler is better=)
I would just take the cam to a pretty place and shoot. Maybe turn it on manual, hit black and white...test with different exposures. I bet you will find that it takes some pretty wicked pictures.
That pic I took was literally a 2 second deal. It's really just getting out there and shooting. It's luck more than skill (at least at this point).
I hear what you're saying about making excuses so we don't have to take chances. I'm guilty of that myself. In the end, I guess we have to realize that we get this one chance to experience life. So I say get out there and start taking pictures, if that's what you're inspired to do today. There is something honorable and beautiful about capturing and preserving a glimpse of something God created. Even the worst picture does that. I think God is flattered by it. Can taking photos be a form of worship?
funny observation?
i get 3x as many comments if i include a picture.
most definately taking pictures (especially of creation) is worship. thanks dave.
It's the nature of the topic that prompted me to comment. Not the inclusion of a picture.
:)
