OH! But this is my only form of communication with anyone from home. I check your blog multiple times a day and specifically looked at it just now because I had something I wanted to discuss with you. Email is so obligatory-- I love this. I get to hear what YOU think is important, what's going on in your world, not what's going on in your world that you think I want to hear about. But, who wants to be your beast of burden? Not Mick Jagger and not this girl. I'm still going to post what made me think of you today, though.

Yesterday when I talked to my mom she told me that my friend Tracy's mom came to visit her. They had never met. She said that Linda just walked into the room with flowers and said, "Hi. You don't know me, but I've met your daughter and I wanted to come visit you." They sat and talked for about an hour and a half and Linda massaged her legs and hands. So kind. Kindness is so hard to find. She's very faithful, but said a praywer with my mom and left it at that. Compassion seems to be the most powerful testimony for me. What's the sense in putting bibles in hotel rooms when acts like that are what really makes me question if there is a God? I suppose that non-Christians can be kind too. And I have to say that I'm choosing to ignore that the same God who gives the capabilities for such powerful human kindness is the God who creates senseless acts of destruction as well. (Like allowing Bush to walk the planet.) Or, according to Christians, that would be the devil that does all the bad stuff I guess? Anyway, I'll take any sense of humanity in this society that I can get.

spook is right aids. we connected! we have da same mommy & daddy! it's in da blood.

keri-i LOVE you. and i miss you. (ps aids, she's in law school) your heart always challenges me to examine mine. and you are right. we cannot please God without faith. and faith without deeds is dead.

if this jesus thing is really what i've said it was all these years then things are maybe supposed to look much different. if i let His compassion on His people and His power be what it really IS in my life-you're right. humanity is inevitable.

you have always amazed me with your capacity to love and the ruthlessness with which you do it.
